To err is human. We as human beings keep making mistakes in life, even if we remain cautious. Mistakes are part of life and cannot be avoided. We are not infallible. If we come to know about our mistake, either we should admit it or we should defend it, how the mistake occurred.
If you commit a mistake unknowingly, do you admit it, when it is brought to your notice or you better defend your action that it happened due to circumstances not because of your action?

Yes, and I apologize. You're right, we're all just people doing the best we can. So do you forgive others if a mistake happens? I do.

It is great on your part that if you commit a mistake and you come to know about it, you will go for an apology. We are humans and we tend to commit mistakes.
If someone commits a mistakes and he admits it, I forgive him. However, there are some people who try to defend their mistakes, it is difficult forgiving them.

You surely know that this saying comes from Seneca
"Errare humanum est, sed in errare perseverare diabolicum." (To err is human, but to persist in error is diabolical.)
If you commit a mistake you apologize and you try to do your best to remedy... some people persist in errors.

Honestly speaking I did not know that the saying comes from Seneca. Once you mentioned it, I searched for it and then I came to know who was Seneca. Thanks for enlightening me.
It is wiser on one's part that if he commits a mistake and he comes to know about it, it is better to go for an apology and also try to not to repeat it in future.

@LadyDuck It is good to hear that you have studied Latin and Philosophy in school. I had no opportunity to study Philosophy as a subject.
Yes, there are some great people who commit mistakes again and again and they do not mend themselves.

@dpk262006 We studied Latin and Philosophy in school, so I knew it was a saying from Seneca.
There are people who never learn from their mistakes and they go on and on doing the same all the time.

It is nice to know that you do not mind admitting your mistakes. However, age has no connection with admission of mistake, in my view.

@dpk262006 If an aging person wants to prove something, then it is fine. However, we still need to take the two sides of the story.

How could you always be a mistake? I am not clear. If you are talking about yourself (as you talked in another post of mine) then I would say that you are not a mistake, you are a wonderful creation of God
.
And if you intend to say that you commit mistakes, that much I agree because we all commit mistakes, but not always.

If you admit your mistake you will be safe and people will understand and trust you again.

Best is to admit it if you know the mistake is committed and move on. There is a saying To err is human but forgiving is divine. I would change it slightly To err is human but admitting it is divine. (lol)

Do you mean to say that it is bad to not to admit your mistake?
Do you admit your mistake, if it occur?

I do apologize whenever I make mistakes. I'm afraid of making mistakes so most of the time, I'm very careful with my actions.. but sometimes, I do mistakes that I refuse to apologize.. not just because of pride but because I know I need to defend myself.

It is good on your part that if you commit a mistake and you come to know about it, you go for an apology. We are humans and we tend to commit mistakes.
However, sometimes you defend your mistake because you are not sure if it was entirely your fault? Is it so?
