The Memorial Day weekend is here! Please do remember to take time this weekend and remember those who paid the ultimate price in defense of America (and other nations that celebrate the holiday). Freedom isn’t free. And, while you’re enjoying your freedoms, enjoy some great music. That includes Marvin Gaye, and here’s one of his biggest hits.

Holy cow, what a great tune. While this has the feel of one of the earlier 60s Motown hits, it actually was the follow-up hit to “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” in 1969. Those two songs (“Grapevine” being Gaye’s first of three #1 “Hot 100” songs) provided a powerful one-two punch for Gaye’s career.
And OOH, what a song!!!
