Most employees don’t have a problem if the work is hard. because if they do it regularly, things become easier. Just don’t give them a toxic boss and they’ll do their best on the job. Good management won’t make them quit. but bad management it destroys even the best people

That is certainly true. We have a saying, 'a fish rots from the head down', meaning just what you've said. A company is only as good as its employees, and its employees won't be inclined to work hard or do their best if their management is poor.
