June 3 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a much better day than yesterday, in most ways. With yesterday's drama on my part, for which I have no regrets, I'm calmer and in control of myself. I can see clearly what I need to do. With that ...
I'm thankful I went to the office this morning and changed the lease renewal to month-to-month. It will allow me to look for a new place.
I'm thankful I went to look at an apartment this afternoon. As nice as the complex is, and all it offers, it's not for me. A one-bedroom is much too small. I looked at the largest one bedroom they had. I need a two-bedroom apartment. I've been looking at this apartment and what I would give up to move into a smaller apartment, and I don't know what I would give up. I have a lot to think about.
I'm thankful I went to the Y this morning. I printed up Vendetta before I left and gave it to the receptionist who will read and proof it for me. She said it would be her weekend project. I told her not to rush. Above that, I'm thankful for the wonderful workout I had in the pool this morning. Only one other person showed up beside the two of us at the normal time of her session in the pool. We stayed for an extra fifteen minutes. I also did my usual workout in the fitness center. I think I did a new personal best on the elliptical.
I'm thankful for my morning walk. I didn't think it would work so soon after getting home from the Y, but it was okay. I didn't overdo it. At least I don't think I did. I also took another walk around the complex later this afternoon. My numbers will look good tomorrow.
I'm thankful for the rain we got today. It's still raining. I wish it would be a lot more. The lone band is almost through the area and then there's no rain in the forecast until next week. We head toward the 90s tomorrow with humidity. I'm going to be like the Wicked Witch of the West - I'm melting, I'm melting.

Looking for another place to live, this is a very big step. The Lord has the perfect apartment for you, in a very good neighborhood:) The heat is not for me, I despise hot/humid weather. We still need rain, but haven't received much all spring. Have another great day!

There's one place I want to live, the senior apartments right behind me. I'm on the list. When a 1 bedroom, with or without the den opens, they will call me. When I pass the credit check, which I'm sure I will, I will move. I need to look up what the square footage of the one-bedroom without den is. I know it will mean downsizing again, but I think I can do this. We'll see.
