What Do You Do When You are Home Alone?

Today I am home alone all day. My husband just left for a dentist appointment at a specialized dentist that is 1 hour away. He has to go get fitted for a replacement tooth, then wait around for 3 to 4 hours before it is ready and then get it put in. Then it's another 1-hour drive home.
I have been almost giddy with excitement thinking about all I can do while he is gone. Crazy huh? We both work from home so we spend a lot of time together. I was tempted to go out and visit some thrift stores. But I have to wait here at home for a new vacuum to be delivered.
Here is what I hope to get accomplished while he is gone:
Take a nice hot shower
Dust the first floor of the house
Put away all of the clutter in our bedroom (I have too many magazines and books)
Do 1 load of laundry
Write out 2 cards to send to people I know who need cheering up
Take the dog for a walk in our neighborhood
Start to organize my office
Oh yes, and eat a healthy lunch!

A lot of the time I play my guitar and mess around with my recording, either working on covers or something original. It is something that I really enjoy, and sometimes the wife is just to pestery for me to be able to enjoy it as much when she is around.
Especially if I am recording and she turns on the washer or dryer which is right outside my man room. My condenser mic picks all that up. lol

I wish I enjoyed cleaning more. So does my husband! But it does need to be done.

I dont enjoy cleaning but find it easier to do when my husband isn't here, so that's why I am doing a lot of cleaning today.

@CuriousGab Well, my husband always falls asleep when we watch movies together. Our kids are grown so it is just him and me and the dog! Maybe I will plan a movie night just for myself and watch a movie on my computer.

I think it will be the busy schedule if I live in a house alone.
I will always try to clean up the rooms and walls. I don't like if my surroundings are filthy.
I read books and then I cook some specials for my self everyday. And I di gardening and lot more stuff.

I like to garden too, but right now I only have flowers, not vegetables. Because it has been raining for 2 days, I didn't have to water my flowers as part of my to-do list today.

@Kouponkaren House cleaning...I used to do it monthly...Mostly I like to spend on gardening (Just liking but not in execution)

It feels like I’m having the best part of my life having the house to myself. I listen to music all day long. I watch videos without anyone judging me. I blast the AC in the other room and it feels great to feel comfortable. I have no one to answer to. Nobody is being nosy of why I’m on the internet too much.

I listen to Christmas music when I clean. It makes me feel cozy and motivates me.
