Good morning, good evening everybody on mylot. It is 9 in the morning of Thursday, 10th June. It is cloudy at the moment and likely to rain any moment. It was raining heavily since evening yesterday with strong winds. Our power was cut off around 7 in the evening and was restored around 2.30 at night. It is again cut off this morning and yet to be restored. Worried for my cakes and pastries in the freeze. Yesterday my second doze was due but has been postponed to 7th of July. I had taken my first doze of Astra Zeneka vaccine on 14th of March and I was given the date of 9th June for second doze. Government of India, it appears, has decided to give a minimum gap of 12 weeks between 2 dozes. I will have to go to vaccination center again to take my second doze. How's everybody doing? Have you taken your vaccine dozes?

@ladyhero No. Computers are programmed not to accept any entry within 12 weeks of first doze.

I hope your cakes and pastries weren’t affected by the loss of power. So happy to are getting vaccinated finally! I had to get my vaccines taken four weeks apart. Hubs were 3 weeks apart. I haven’t been here much due to life, doctors, and getting ready for a huge event.

@msdivkar That’s a shame. Do you have insurance for things like that? Just health checks with various doctors. Avoided them during the pandemic.

No vaccine yet for me. There are no more vaccines here in the city. Most of it were brought to the province of the sitting president. Talk about corruption and greed.

I hope that they do not delay the vaccine again for you. We go the same length of time between our first and second doses here also, but they are moving our second doses up so that we are fully vaccined a bit earlier then originally expected.

There is shortage of vaccine here at the moment. They had to therefore increase the gap between two dozes. Situation may improve soon.

@msdivkar Yes, we are experiencing the same issue here in Canada. On a positive note they have alot of 12 year olds getting vaccinated daily because they are our future, and they need to remain healthy.

at least in your city the vaccines are available. In Kolkata I took the first dose of vaccine on 25th April. After that it has remained unavailable.

Sounds like yet another country who's rushing vaccines before they have enough and are ready. No. I didn't get a vaccine and don't plan to . Good luck.

This is all because of scarcity of vaccines.
