I like to keep my currency bills in an organized and orderly manner. Do you like to keep in your purse or wallet currency notes/ bills in an orderly manner like highest denomination bills on the right side, followed by smaller denomination bills and so on and so forth or its reverse order smallest denomination bills on the right side and then followed by higher denomination currency bills? Or you just keep your currency bills randomly and whenever needs arises you choose and pick up? Image courtesy - Google

Higher to smaller. Also to make sure that they are reachable at any point and I don't have to fight to find the bill in the wallet.

Do you mean to say that you put lower denominations bills prior to the higher denomination bills? Have a nice day!

You are lucky that you have a tie up with bank, who send you different denomination currency notes, as per your requirement. Which bank it is? How do you keep it in your purse in ascending order or otherwise?

@dpk262006 I hardly go out and the money is kept in the cupboard. I just call up the bank and tell me them my needs. They send a clerk over with the money and I hand over the check I am with BOB

My father always taught me to keep my wallet neat and tidy, arrange my bills same side up, big denominations should be separated from smaller ones, " don't put coins in the wallet so you don't destroy the expensive leather" " respect money otherwise it would leave you "

Your father is/was a wise man, who taught you how to maintain your wallet. Yes, big denomination bills should be kept separately then the smaller denomination bills. It is saner not to keep coins in the wallet, it makes the wallet heavy, unnecessarily.

It means that you generally need smaller currency bills than the higher denomination bills to make payment. Is it so?

@LadyDuck I understand that you try to make every transaction through credit card/debit card and avoid using cash. Here, we also try to make digital payment, wherever the facility available. However, the petty shopkeepers do not have such facility, therefore, we make cash payment.

@dpk262006 I only keep very little money in the wallet, I pay everything with my credit card. Since the pandemic started we are required not to pay cash to avoid to touch the bills. I only pay cash if it is a very small expense.

I used to just put bills in my pants or shorts pockets when I was younger. Didn't see the point of having any coin purse or wallets until I got older. These days I have a wallet for the bills and a coin purse for the coins. Sometimes I only use the coin purse so I end up having folded bills again. Am not very particular when it comes to arranging them in an orderly manner but when I have the time I do arrange them from biggest to smallest denomination.

You mean to say that earlier you did not use to have any wallet and you would stuff currency bills in our pant and shirt pockets. . Some people do like it, you are not alone. The way one feels convenient, is it fine. I understand that sometimes you stuff your currency notes in an unorderly manner, when you are in a hurry.

I arranged them from the smallest to the largest I put in my wallet because at first glance the colors are almost the same.

For me, everything has to be highly organized. I do not keep much currency in my wallet for the last six to seven years. I am into a fully digital transaction mode. Some cash just keeps lying there for an emergency.
