I joined, if that's the right term, venmo today

We had a few customers ask whether we used that app for payments and we did not. I decided to check it out and downloaded to my phone. Now I have to figure out how to access my funds. On Paypal it sends funds to my bank account. Maybe one there's month in this one it will give the option too. Does anyone know? I did add my bank card but it's under payment not receiving payments unless that's what is meant perhaps?

I like Venmo--I find people tend to use Venmo or PP--I use both and transfer to my bank when needed. Good luck!

@MarshaMusselman it is pretty simple to use. I find that a lot of younger people use it instead of PP--although I think they are both run by the same company, PP

If I have more questions I suppose it will show more up once the funds get to my account. Also my daughter is in it and I could ask her to.

I'm still somewhat clueless other than the money is there instantly once it's sent by the other party.

I use PayPal to receive mylot and hubpages payments mostly. I'm not sure why they went with a different app other than your can see who else has an account is those in your contacts and send money to them is you choose to.

Venmo is an app of PayPal. I will stick to getting my , payment by check mainly, I think, for then I can put it directly into my business account. Although possibly I can hook this to that account too. I'll have to check.

Venmo is only available for customers living in the USA, I do not know how it works.

@MarshaMusselman I know that also when you use PayPal the money shows up to the other party immediately. I always use PayPal.

Yes that is correct. I learned fairly quickly to my surprise and already received a payment to my account. It won't show into my a account with the bank until next week though. If a person wants the money immediately they need to pay a small fee. I can wait.

@LadyDuck I only got it because I've had a few customers ask whether I had it or not.

I only do business with PP, they have a reputation for being an honest and upright service.

Venmo is an app with PayPal. I don't know yet why they needed another option.

@kobesbuddy maybe. Also maybe because it's a way to upload friends from ones contact list and PayPal is more private? Just guessing here.

@MarshaMusselman Oh, all right, I didn't know they were joined together. Probably because PayPal has gotten too big, they need to split in half.

I've seen some content creators use it, but I don't have one. I just use Paypal.

@MarshaMusselmann My daughter uses Venmo all of the time and loves it. She wants me to join also, but I haven't figured out how it works, and don't really want to bother either.

Unless your have people that want to easily send you money or vice versa I don't see the need. With having it if any of our customers rather use it I'll get the money into my bank faster I think.
