Another Special Neighbor Bloom

Coneflowers, also known as Echinacea, are tough little flowers that attract butterflies, bees, and birds to the garden. Walked over to the neighbor's garden to water one last time. He returns tomorrow. Noticed these pretty pink coneflowers all over the garden. Soon the butterflies will be here. They will enjoy these blooms. They come in assorted colors. Yellow, white, orange, pink. I like them all. But this pink really stood out in the sunshine today. They brought a much needed smile. I will visit my neighbor later over the next few days, when he gets home.

@CarolDM When I see bees on my roses, I always remember you, because you often write about them and how they visit your flowers.

Those coneflowers are beautiful! Are they perennials? I'd love to plant some in our flower bed!

Thanks! Corn flowers? Those blue ones we usually call Bachelor's Buttons. These are cone flowers.

@DocAndersen That is no problem, I was able to learn by researching what a corn flower is. I had no idea they are also called that. Love the blue blooms.

@CarolDM yes they have several names, they planted them many years ago between fields of corn they supposedly kept bugs away. they didn't but people still do them! i misread cone for corn! read for what is there which we sometimes do not do!
