What Would Happen if We Could Turn Time and Go Back to Past?

Who was the writer who wrote the science fiction Time Machine? I read it long ago and so the author's name has slipped out of my memory. I will check in the Google search and find out. It was an interesting book to read and the author pulled my mind to the past and also to the future as the plot unfolded. He describes the story so grafically that you see the plot like a movie in your mind. I also read an English fiction of a similar genre. It was about a queen. Again, the title escapes my mind. More recently, J. K. Rowling uses this device so skillfully in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Why am I wasting my time talking about Time Machines? I feel my days are passing very fast. It happens when you are very busy. I am not particularly busy but this feeling has become somewhat acute. How six days flew and we are at the end of the week! I wish I had a time turner! What about you?

The writer was H.G. Wells. I was going to ask what time travel was involved in Harry Potter book but recalled it by the time I started typing! No idea about the queen fiction though. I would like to have a time machine to see the events I was not able to earlier. Strictly for past.ime

Thanks for reminding. I searched the network and found that Herbert George Wells ( Sept. 21, 1866--Aug. 13, 1946) authored The Time Machine. About the queen I may be mistaken. Perhaps the time traveler saw her in the past.

Sometimes I think it would be nice to turn back time. Certainly the days seem to be flying by.
