I like the way that former Immokalee High School teacher Steven Becker is giving back to the students that attend a high school where he used to teach by raising funds by swimming 12 miles around Key West on the weekends. Steve has a goal of raising around $6,000 dollars which is the cost for a student who graduated from Immokalee High School to attend a university in Florida for a year, Thanks to the assistance of the Immokalee Foundation which is a not for profit group that is doing their part to make the dreams of high school students comes true, Steve's goal of reaching his goal is close to being a reality. It is interesting that average persons will walk, ride bicycles and swim long distances to raise money to assist people in need.

University costs are getting bigger each year. The teacher is doing more than his share.

That's an excellent goal. Many students will get to attend college because of Steven.

That is true since Steve knows that the students in that region need all of the money help they can get.

I would say that Steve is in his 60s since the article did not mention his age.
