It’s Official: I’m Seeing New Kids On The Block Again.

Actually, I ordered my tickets last Friday, but I haven’t had the chance to post about it. I was either busy or not in the mood, but it happens.
My tickets were ordered during the general sale on Friday, June 11th, as I opted to skip the presales. I’ll be attending with my sister-in-law, who is also a New Kids On The Block fan. My two sisters and my best friend are skipping it this time around.
So anyway, my plan was to just get some decent, budget-friendly seats (but not the lawn, that sounds like it’d be too far back and too crowded for me), and I’d worry about floor seats during their actual tour. I used this website called “A View From My Seat”, which features pictures submitted by others to give people an idea of what the view is like from a certain section, row and seat. I had decided I wanted 301, row AA, because I liked the view in the picture. I also put insurance on the tickets. I never really do that, and I know restrictions are going to be lifted by then, but you never know what could happen with this pandemic. I’d rather be safe than sorry because I cannot afford to be out of the money (especially when half that money isn’t mine).
Welp, the first row was sold out, so I got 301, row BB…. exactly what I wanted, just one row behind. Hey, it works for me! I won’t be close enough for interaction if they go through the crowd, but I’m going to this show with no expectations other than a good time. It was announced at the last minute, and quite frankly, I’ve needed this, so I’m ready to just have a blast and forget life for a few hours. :)
I'm also excited to see Salt-n-Pepa as well. I saw them during NKOTB's 2019 tour, and I really enjoyed their set. :)
It’s on a Wednesday, so I’m thinking of just working a half day and at least taking the day off Fiverr on Thursday, and I’ll play Textbroker by ear. But I’ll worry about that and give my clients the heads up next month.
But YAYYYY. I’m seeing my boys in less than two months! 48 days! Yes, I Googled it lol. Those of you who know me know I’ve been missing them, and those of you who REALLY know me know how important this is to me.
I just need to settle on an outfit (I got the shirt narrowed down, I’ll worry about shorts/capris later. It’s an outdoor concert; with some areas covered) and find my memory card…. because I don’t know where it went. Otherwise, I found a good one for like, $6-$7 on Amazon. I’m so excited for this! It’ll be my fourth NKOTB concert, and I don’t think it’ll ever get old for me. :)
P.S. - Hey, @Courtlynn, I’m totally planning to use the Toy Story bag you and your Mom sent me for Christmas. The bags have to be smaller here and this one is PERFECT. Thank you again! :D
Alrighty, it’s off to work (from home) I go! I’ll try to be back soon. :)
Photo Credit: I own the selfie (in my NKOTB hoodie) and snapshot of the guys from the last tour. The seating chart is from the Merriweather website, and the concert ad is from NKOTB’s website. I edited them together using a free online program called Fotor.

Enjoy the show since it is nice that your favorite artists are still doing concerts.

Aw thanks!
It's their first show since 2019. 2020 was their off-year, but they had to reschedule their one show that year because of Covid. This year, it'll be the show I'm attending plus the show they had rescheduled, and they'll hopefully be back on tour next year.

@Deepizzaguy Right. The guys in NKOTB are in their upper 40s/early 50s, but they still move like they're in their 20s/30s lol.

@tammys85 I know of many artists that have to leave the business due to either illness or getting up there in age.

That's great that you were able to get tickets, and that you don't have to wait TOO long until the concert!

@MommyOfEli2013 Thank you so much! It doesn't have to be anyone famous, as long as you enjoy it. I'm not sure NKOTB is as "mainstream" as they were in the 80s/90s, but I'm okay with that because then merch/ticket prices may increase... if that makes sense. They still have their huge fanbase though, mostly originals but not all originals, some are children and grandchildren of originals, others are youngsters who somehow discovered the guys on their own. I have an online friend in her early 20s who discovered NKOTB when she was still a kid, and it was all on her own, and she's absolutely adores them.
