What was your first Job?

Considering from where I begun and where I am now has no interconnection. I started teaching, because education was always my passion, but since I wasn’t paid up to the mark, switched to corporate and no matter how much I hated, I accelerated….. It is so different from where I started… What was your first job? Are you still going in the same direction…?

My very first job was working at my aunt and uncle's hardware store during the summers. I work at a local newspaper now.

@Aansh13 It's pretty great. We're a small outlet. It's not without its frustations of course, but overall it's a worthwhile job. And I'm not the one dealing with COVID related news, so I can still avoid news about it when it overwhelmes me.

I started two jobs part time while I was still in high school. One was at an industrial safetywear company that had just opened a branch in our city. The other one was just for fun but I loved it. I was a DJ at local radio station. I had to skip school a day to go take my tests - both written and hands on for emergency broadcast system administering. I passed. The safetywear company ended up offering a full time position after I graduated and I got tired of working both jobs and no time to go out with friends so I quit the radio job. After I got married my husband wanted me to stay at home and not work. I did that for a year and then went back to work for the State of Louisiana. So it was totally different from my first job.

My first job was in the bakery. I didn’t like it. My boss was nasty. I was underpaid. I’m going in a different direction now. I’m improving my skills so I can do something else that add value to my life.

@Aansh13 Not really but since I started and had gained the experience, I kind of enjoy it because there are many things to learn in law.

Even though the course I'm studying is related to teaching, i have not taken time to be a teacher. I never worked for anyone before, I'm just a business person.
