Busy Day!

I had a busy day today. I had to go to Baton Rouge to get my mother's signature on a page for Social Security to allow me to add a new bank account for her deposit each month. Her account was involved in fraudulent charges in April and we closed her account and opened a new account.
Before I could get the new deposit transferred, the nursing home went on lockdown with a new Covid case. This was for several weeks. Then we had a week of bad weather with rain all day and all nights, alternating. The streets in Baton Rouge were flooded and I wasn't going to chance it. Then the nursing home went into lockdown again due to a worker and a patient with new covid cases. And this is where yours truely forgot all about the Social Security problem until I got a letter in the mail saying we need verification and/or new address on file for payment to be made.
Ugg. Okay so we will deal with it. Next a letter from Medicaid comes wanting verification of $x,xxx.xx amount of monthly social security deposit each month. Well the amount listed was more than what she gets so I copied her bank statement and put in my planner to drop off today which was the deadline.
So, I got the paperwork signed that I needed for Social Security after about an hour. My mom's lunch was an hour late being served so I had to wait until she finished lunch to get the signature. In the meantime, I made a list of her clothes. Amazingly some more of the "lost" clothes have appeared in her closet. I brought her another pair of pants and two shirts today along with a pair of slip on tennis shoes. I left these in the office to get the NEW labels put on that were the result of the fit I threw with 99% of her clothes being missing. None of the clothes in her room had the new label inside so I made a note of that. The other problem which I considered a safety hazard was repaired in her room.
An aid brought her new clothes and put labels in while I was there. I mentioned that none of her clothes in the closet had the new labels on them and I asked her to please label. She did. I was a happy camper.
I left after a long visit. Visits are limited to 30 minutes but I stayed 2 hours.
I headed to the Medicaid office to give verification of her SS checks. That was easy as only two people were allowed inside and I was next in line. In and out in 10 minutes.
I call Social Security to get apt to drop off the other paperwork thinking I can also set up the new deposit at the same time. NO. The lady insisted that I either fax the form or mail it and then call back to set up bank deposit. It says on the form to drop off at the office. This lady just didn't want to be bothered with anything other than answering the phone today.
I next called one of my daughters, who brings her daughter to physical therapy on Tuesdays and the location is on my way home so we met up. I had some parrot feed for her and some books and a video for my granddaughter. We had a quick visit and both headed home.
So that was my day. I didn't get home until almost 6 pm. How was your day today? Busy, boring? Just okay?
Photo is just a pretty country sunset.

@DocAndersen I would be jumping for joy! Both my husband and I said we wished that would have happened while we were still working!

That sounded more like a week's worth of running around. Paperwork can be such a drag! I'm glad it's all done. My day was pretty boring. Today our little housekeeper is coming along with Meals on Wheels. Tomorrow we are taking our other car in for service. Great picture.

Well I still have to get her deposit info to them. I guess I'm supposed to know the date and time the envelope arrives and make that phone call as soon as they open the envelope. I bet I call and they say they have no record of receiving that form. I did keep a copy but I bet they won't accept a copy, need original. We will see!! Thanks on the picture. I just snapped it driving down the road. It did turn out fairly decent.
