Why did everything in the 1950s and 60s look better than it does now?

In my opinion. It is the common nature of humans that we forget bad but remember good. That is why we long to bemoan the glorious past. What do you guys think? Thanks for the response

Some people do look back on the past "with rose-tinted glasses" - they see only the good things. Oddly, though, some are the very same people who will tell you how easy we have things today, and how difficult life was back in the day. According to some older people, their lives were somehow simultaneously so much worse and so much better than today

The answer is less population ,less competition, more supply and lesser prices in 1950's and 60's than now.
