Stroke of luck

Well... I thought of sharing this interesting thing which has been making news and also to let you'll know sometimes how luck favours. A couple reportedly in search of hybrid coconut seeds, planted a "special" mango sapling—he'd bought while travelling, from a man, a fellow traveller, who was sitting beside him on a train journey for $30 (though some reports suggests that he got it for free from the fellow traveller, as good will).—he never imagined he would one day need to hire a security team to protect his crop. Little did he know that that he would have to hire three security guards and nine dogs to protect those mango as the couple are now growing the world's most expensive mango variety. Since he wasn't aware of the breed he was growing as it was different from the entire breeds that are available in our country, he named it 'Damini' after his mother He grew it [the sapling] like an ordinary mango plant, but a few months later, saw that it had developed a beautiful color Soon, he learned that he'd apparently (and unwittingly) come into possession of the coveted Miyazaki mango—a variety primarily grown in Japan, where it's also known as the "egg of the sun." Each Miyazaki mango reportedly costs around $50, making it a luxury good. Since then, they have reportedly received offers as high as $300 for a single piece of fruit. As reported by the Miyazaki Local Products and Trade Promotion Center, in Japan the growth of Miyazaki mangoes is highly regulated at every stage. Each fruit must weigh at least 350 grams and contain a sugar content of at least 15 percent in order to reach consumers. Unlike most fruits, the mangoes are harvested only when they are fully ripe, making them extremely fragile. Pic Courtesy: Mint - English Tabloid (Local) Interesting part was how sometimes luck favours us unknowingly. Have anyone come across such incidents?

I've never heard of these and haven't seen anything about it online. (I don't watch news sources, though. I usually just watch science videos on YouTube.)

@S4mmyboy I didn't say because I don't know if it would be funny to anyone else... I read that in the Arabic language there isn't a letter "P" so when someone from that country translates an a word into English that's supposed to have a "P", they use a "B" in it's place, so something like Pepsi is written as Bebsi.

I live in a place surrounded with hundreds of mango orchards but never seen a Miyazaki mango. Only heard recently that someone is guarding his orchard with armed guards and fearsome dogs. That proves it is a wealth more precious than gold and silver.

Yes the colour is somewhat pinkish light violet. ..we don't such variety here in our country and it is known to be the costliest mango in the world. The interesting part was that man bought it from a fellow traveller thinking it be one of the common mango tree, but turned out to be the costliest mango in the world. I guess neither the man who gave nor the one who bought it never expected the sapling to be the costliest variety of the mango family

Great news there. If that image is from the Net then you need to post the link where it came from. As copy paste is not allowed here. You can still do it.
