The Oneness of Humanity and Uniqueness in Each

In times of great stress and crisis, we are drawn towards each other, like now, sort of in a tight embrace. When we breathe easy, separateness and isolation draw us apart.
The present pandemic has also a positive effect as a major issue puts others in the back-burner. This too shall pass is the refrain but the pandemic is unrelenting like when caught in the coils of a python constricting more with each breath we take.
The whole creative process is self rejuvenating and repeats like the seasons do without fail. That also is the case with pandemics. History repeats and when we forget the lessons they are back with a vengeance.
The war cry never fails but who really want wars; certainly not the common folks as they have enough in their hands to bother about those that do not really matter to them. For political systems and governance, but why not that be decided by proof of performance to benefit the common folks. Then some are painted as evil, but who decides? If you point a finger at someone, three fingers are pointing back at you.
No one really has the moral heft to decide as variety is the essence in creation. Even that justifies different beliefs that are inspired by the very source. Let the Gods decide than us going at each other’s throats.
The pandemic overrides all differences and that drives home a point crystal clear. We remain the same, vulnerable, and on recall without prior notice! We are all human!
So this unwelcome visitor comes with a message too!
Do you agree?

We do remain the same logically. Humans continue to destroy one another sadly.

Democracy has become kleptocracy, with leaders that cares nothing for their citizens so long as he/she gains more money. If you live in a country with a kleptocracy as a government, your leaders exploit you and your resources for their own personal gain. Sanctions of covid relief for bereaved families are all gone and vanished in mid air and poor people left with empty stomach and no work.

It is true those who promise much and blame the incumbents prove worse when they come to power.
Democracy and freedom should not mean 24/7 politicking - when out of power oppose what you did earlier, and do when in power what you had opposed earlier. In the end, people are the victims - always taken advantage of.
Hopefully, the young will take charge to end the blame games once and for all and look ahead than back

I don't think it's true in the US. We are so divided right now and I wish it wasn't true.

Yes I have to agree with Carol, the pandemic did not bring people together in our country.

Yes, everything comes to us with a message, or something about it, that we can gain a new learning from.

@Shiva49 Yes, if things happened willy-nilly with no reasons behind them, it would be a pretty sorry world that we live in, and Einstein himself has said that, God does not play dice with his world, so nothing must be happening here by pure chance.

@innertalks We need the wisdom to draw the right lessons from the school of hard knocks - life.
Vaccinations et al, at the end of the day, only slap a bandaid on a deeper problem that beset society, a malaise that has set in due to our hubris and greed.
