I had UTI a long time ago. It was very painful. I self medicated I use cotrimoxazole and it didn't go away. So I went to our local health center to seek medical help. The doctor said we use a stronger antibiotics so she give prescription for ciprofloxacin. The brand I buy is ciprobay.
After just two days I feel better so I stop taking the medicine. A few days later it seems to come back so I take the medicine again. When I already feel fine I stop taking the drugs and my UTI is gone for a long time. Only until now I feel I have a slight UTI. I knew what drug to take. I go to the nearest pharmacy and it suggest to take 21 capsules 3 times a day and I should complete the 7 days.
I will not do it again not finishing the 7 days. I know it's wrong but when I feel relief I feel I don't need to take more drugs. So what you do with antibiotics?

She is not strict. She didn't tell me to finish the 7 days. It's only in the pharmacy that are strict

@averygirl72 My brother is a doctor and he always reminds to me how dangerous it is to interrupt antibiotics. The infection comes back and in the future the antibiotics will not help.

Never stop talking it till one it’s either all gone or have completed the the course of days required. Why because bacteria doesn’t die just after two days your body needs to build up and bacteria can travel to other parts of the body.
If you go to a doctor I’m going yo do as they say because that is just stupid to be like your 7 plus years of medical school and stuff vs my zero means I know better then them. Also never stop any meds for mental illness either without talking to a doctor.

Bacteria can build resistance to the antibiotics if we don't kill all the bacteria

@averygirl72 yeah that is true which is why doctors change your antibodics if you come back with having the beds for antibodies because your body can’t not fight it off in its own. That’s why it’s important to always finish your course if after that is all done and there is still infection they will not give you the same one again.
More times then not that 5-7 day course is bright to do the trick.

Yes that's my reason it's too much medicine but now everyone is advice to complete the 7 days medication even if you feel better to totally kill all bacteria
