Screening / test every year?
I got a letter from our insurance to have a free mammography screening again. I got a letter from them every year. It is an examination for checking the breast for an early illness like cancer or so.
I got this screening a few years ago and it really hurt as my breasts were pressed in a huge machine. It was bearable though but I don’t like to have this every year. Of course it is up to me if I will do it. I just have to bring the letter with me in the hospital when I have made an appointment. Speaking of hospital visit, I don’t want to this time of pandemic.
Have you (fellow mylotter women)done this mammography screening before? Is it okay to have it every year? 50 years old and above are entitled to have this screening for free here where I live.
The photo above was taken last Sunday when a bird visited me while I was mylotting on my balcony. Thanks for reading and have a nice day/evening to you all.

I'm only 37 and I was asked if I wanted one. Once they realized I was "too young" the question never came up again. I get asked every time I see the doctor if I want a pap, but I always refuse.

Yes, you are still young to have a mammography. What is a pap? Thank you @kaylachan.

I've had a mammogram every year for probably 45 years. They are so important! Please get one every year, especially if there's no charge to you.

@thelme55 Thanks, it's been a nice, but quiet day. We went to church this morning and ate at a local buffet afterwards. Please, please don't forget to get your mammogram. My best friend had a tiny lump that the doctor wasn't concerned about, but then several mammogram appointments got postponed because of the pandemic. By the time she could get one, it was cancer and had grown. She's just finished chemo and radiation.

I think it is okay to take that kind of test, and it is free.

I haven’t done that review yet, but I’ve watched it and it looks pretty painful.

I will call the hospital for the appointment next week. I wrote about it here because I want to know if it is okay to have this screening every year. Thank you @Nakitakona. Have a nice Friday.
