July 3 - What I'm Thankful for Today

It's been a good day today. It's a hot day. We got into the 90s and will again tomorrow. YEA! I'm being facetious. You all know my favorite season is winter. Snowflakes make me smile. Heat makes me melt. So, what makes today good and a day to be thankful? I'm thankful for sleeping in. Though according to my Fitbit I got my usual hours of sleep. It was only later because I went to bed later. Still, it felt good to sleep past 2:30 AM. I'm thankful I hit the trail for a walk first thing while the temps were still in the 60s. I realized I forgot my camera when I was a block from home. Yes, I needed it. The doe crossed the road to the trail when I was a good half a block from her. I watched her as she walked on the trail. She wasn't in a hurry as I got onto the trail. She kept looking back at me. When I was a few feet from her, she melted into the trees along the trail. Yes, another missed opportunity. Let's see if I remember my camera tomorrow. I'm thankful I finished the notifications early. It's always good to see what you're doing in your part of the world. I'm thankful I finished the first edit of Vendetta. The person who proofed it for me did a good job, or I did a good job with the story as there was one main theme to the problems I needed to fix. When I got to the last page she wrote "I love this book!" in huge letters. That makes me feel good about the story. I'm not going to work on it tomorrow. I'll start on it again on Monday. This time I'm going to put Grammarly against it and see what else I need to fix. I'm thankful I finished my fitness goals. I didn't push for the maximum number of steps today. Not in this heat. I did get over 21K. It's doubtful I'll see 22K before I go to bed. That's been my day along with watching my shows. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading.
