Energy giver or energy sucker

I was reading an article. It was mentioned there that there are two types of people, one is 'energy giver' and second one is 'energy sucker'. Meaning thereby if you come in contact with the first category of people, you will feel good, as they encourage and motivate you to do something and you feel charged. If you come in contact with second category of people, you feel that someone has sucked your energy and you feel frustrated and depleted. In which category do you feel that you fall ? And would you like to be with a person who is 'energy giver' or 'energy sucker'?

There is a group of Indians who might call me an energy giver on myLot.

I've infected them with the myLot crazy virus and they are busy having fun and enjoying themselves on different discussions. I join them as often as I can. They are all a lot of fun.

@prashu228 Then you've been missing out on part of your appeal... I see people talking with you on myLot all the time. (People wouldn't talk with you much if you weren't an energy giver.) I just had nothing to say I thought you'd be interested in hearing. (You seem dignified and I'm... not. *shrug*)

It is good that you would like to be with a person who is 'energy giver' but if an 'energy sucker' comes and sit with you and start talking to you, what will you do?

Energy giver.

But sometimes when I get frustrated or angry, I may fall into the 2nd category. And those people who don't know me personally, and who gets to see only my 2nd side, will definitely say I'm an energy sucker.

It is good to hear that you consider yourself as energy giver. We all have mood swings and it is alright when sometimes you feel angry or frustrated and you turn like an energy sucker. I understand that phase does not last long and you are back to normal.

People consider me a good counselor. So I guess I would fall to the energy giver category. I am a positive and happy person. But when I am going through some hormonal cycle issues, I can be an energy sucker. But that phase is short-lived.

Yes, I could vouch for those who consider you as energy giver

. I am sure when they need your help and advice/ support they approach you with a hope that you will become a kind of healer for them.

. As regards hormonal cycle issues, those are temporary and you can't help much about it.

Maybe I am energy neutral, because I cannot remember influencing anyone with motivation and uplifting thoughts, nor with toxic or excessive negative thoughts.

I do not think that you could be energy neutral. As per your profile your age is 31. Whenever you meet a teenager or a younger guy and if he asks for your advice on any issue (which he does not know) do not you advice him or make him understand the concept?

@FaruMesh - My discussion is about real life not about myLot. To answer your question, all mylotters here are 'energy giver' because they do not shy away from conveying their thoughts/views/advice and motivate others.
