For those who like history, Pappette is a part of our communities history.
Pappette was built in Boston in 1852, it was originally meant for the Capital city of Tahiti, but was abandoned in San Francisco after ot is believed the crew jumped ship. It has been in Columbia California since 1857, where it has fought many small fires over the years.
Papette has never officially been retired, and is still on standby.

@DaddyEvil yes I saw that, but nowhere it is mentioned that a Hand pumped Fire engine is called Papette.....the topic was interesting.... Hence I thought of including the genius DE

Yeah, I have no idea about it. It's in the wrong part of the country for me to know anything about it.

Yes, I live in Columbia…A short walk maybe a block and a half from State Park Property
