Good day to you all, So, over the 3-day weekend for the 4th of July, Chicago is as violence as ever. I’m sure the mayor has some crap excuse why it happened. Let’s see from Friday evening till Monday evening there were over 100 people shot, 19 of those were killed. I did read that there was a 5-year-old and a 6-year-old that were among those shot. This is the most violent weekend of the year so far. Oddly enough the majority of these were Black on Black crime but yet I didn’t hear about anyone coming out and protesting the violence, I didn’t see or hear anything from Al Sharpton or Jessie Jackson. I wonder if there is going to be a statue put up for any of these people. Really something like this happens just about every weekend, dozens of people are shot, and no one even bats an eye at it. If Black Life’s Mattered that much to these people, they would be out there all the time not only when it is a white on black crime. If our government cared about it, they would do something. If the Chicago mayor cared, she would do more then talk about adding more laws or like she said the other day that some are overreacting and that it is not as bad as it appears. I don’t know maybe it’s just me, but I think 100 people getting shot in one city every weekend seems pretty bad.

I know. It's sad really. One, that no one cares, and two that everything you said is true. Makes me wonder about the world we live in.

The violence in Chicago doesn't fit the narrative being pushed by elected officials and the media so it rarely gets National attention. It appears that Black Lives Matter only when they want it to. So sad.

We as a society have become very desensitized to what happens. We can absolutely blame officials, and public figures for not talking about it, organizations for not "doing anything" all we want, but the figures and organizations don't know everything that happens and if you want something done, go talk to them, reach out. Because it is infuriating that these people's lives seem like nothing because they are something and deserve justice, but justice and violence only stops when people stop pointing fingers and actually do something about it and fight.

Yeah, sadly, they want to see us divided, easier to control the population when they are divided.

I was reading about the violence there, California and many other places. If they would stop using the revolving door, make these criminals be punished behind bars, maybe they would think twice before shooting someone.

and no one says anything and a lot of these shooting go unsolved because of the silence.
