I've been away from myLot for awhile. I'm glad to be posting again.
When I saw this definition of yugen posted on social media today, I felt that the timing was perfect. I wanted to find a new word to share here tonight, and this one really spoke to me.
Maybe it's because July 4th was the first anniversary of my husband's death. Three other friends lost their husbands in the last year too.
I suppose that if anything prompts us think about "the universe", and the meaning of life and death, it's grief. We experience profound sadness and joyful memories. We contemplate the spiritual bonds between people and a million other thoughts and emotions.
I've tried to describe grief here, but the definition of yugen is true- some emotions can't be explained with mere words.

A tough time when anniversaries come around. I hope you're coping ok.
Yugen is a new word to me but unsurprising as it's Japanese. It has a great definition and seems to cover feelings other words cannot.
Good to see WWW back
