God created mankind in his own image, but what about dogs?

Do dogs go to Heaven, or not?
All animals, all life goes back to Heaven, to its maker, but this is not in their animal body, as all are equalised as such in Heaven, and are given a new Heavenly body there too.
Pope Francis, himself, confirmed this, when he told a young boy this too:
The Pope, while consoling a distraught little boy, whose dog had died, told him,
“Paradise is open to all of God’s creatures.”
(From, The New York Times.)
What is heaven?
What could it ever mean to the individual living on earth here anyway?
Heaven, to me, in a way is a metaphor for all that is good.
If you do not feel that all is good here on the Earth, you will dream of another place where all is good, and perfect. Heaven is alive in your dreams, but is it really a real place, or not?
No, heaven is not real to us here on the Earth, and it never can be. Anything only ever becomes real, when you are experiencing it.
Is heaven a place that can be experienced, whilst we live on the Earth here then, or not?
No, only those whom have truly been to Heaven could properly ever describe it, and only Jesus Christ has been there, and he came to Earth to describe it. Nothing else can be given credence then except for what Jesus has said, whilst here.
This all depends on you accepting that he is indeed the son of God. If there was no God, there could be no heaven, as heaven is the home of God.
What is heaven? Is it an actual place? Does God reside there? How does it work anyway?
Heaven is a real place because God is real. This might seem silly to say, but God existed, so he created heaven around himself, from out of himself, before he created all else, including the Earth.
Who then created God?
Nobody, because God also created himself. Nothing became something when nothing grew from itself somehow.
How did this occur?
This occurred because the emptiness felt full from swelling itself from the self knowledge that it was empty. It recognised itself. This is how God came into being too. He always existed, but with self recognition, he then existed to himself to.
It could be said that heaven exists to the existing, but it never exists to the non existent.
You exist fully when you love God, and it is this loving that opens you into seeing heaven surrounding God. You see heaven when you believe enough in God.
It is true that no person living currently on the Earth has been to heaven and seen God, but this means from their earthly body's perspective. God created them as soul in his heaven.
This means that all souls have been in heaven.
After they have been created by God, they are then placed by God into other areas of his creation, where they can evolve in conscious recognition of themselves, even as God himself has done, and so we can all then become mini Gods, so to speak.
All of what I have said here can be found within the Christian bible.
This verse is from Saint John's gospel, chapter 1, and verse 18. This is the New International translation of this verse.
"No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known."
You truly were created in God's image, and the memory of being created by God in his heaven has been implanted deeply within each heart.
A verse right at the beginning of the bible confirms what I have just said here. This verse is to be found in Genesis chapter 1, and verse 27.
"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."

you already know my response. But it is as always a great thought-provoking post pal! So let's argue the intent of the line
Created in God's image.
Was that, what God saw of himself?
Or the reflection in the mirror.
Personally, I think humans were created, God stepped back and said well I could have done better.. then God made dogs.

You could be right.
God loved his second creation of Dogs, so much, that he then named them after himself, giving them his own name in reverse. (God becomes Dog)
Dogs image God in many ways, but the main way is in their unconditional love.
We turned out to be more a negative image instead. We still need to develop ourselves a lot more here, before the real picture that God had in mind for us when he created us, finally emerges from us.

@DocAndersen That's why the inner view is so pure, and beautiful in its beauty. You have 4 such inner views in your house!

@innertalks i still wonder if we aren't the reflection of an external view, and Dog, is the reflection of the inner view.

Those will have gardens of perpetual residence; beneath them rivers will flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and will wear green garments of fine silk and brocade, reclining therein on adorned couches. Excellent is the reward, and good is the resting place.

Yes, it does make sense, that Heaven, would have different segments of it, for different people, and their levels of goodness.
I hope the Catholic section does not fight still with the Protestant section, as they have done in the past here.
Elevation into Heaven, should be enough to change some such staid attitudes.

@innertalks Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure. With their effort [they are] satisfied. In an elevated garden, wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech. Within it is a flowing spring. Within it are couches raised high and cups put in place and cushions lined up and carpets spread around.”

I read somewhere one was allowed into heaven but he wanted his dog also to go along with him.
Such was his attachment to his pet that both were waved in.
All beliefs have in them the concept of heaven. So it could have a real basis - the soul could have originated from there and then took on different physical shapes, sizes, and characteristics. Every species has traces of God consciousness and is not discriminated against. The prejudices are our own as all are from the same source
Our creator is all-encompassing and we all land up in heaven sooner or later.
We will have instant recognition when we meet later shorn of physical covering.
We have some explaining to do though!

There are some I probably would like to meet up with again, but there are others, I would not care to ever see again.
I am not sure what I would do if I bumped into my old boss, who I had very little time for at all.
He was nasty, to the extreme.

@innertalks I have also encountered a few who I would not like to touch with a barge pole.
One is a lady who I was asked to help but she was very manipulative - divide and rule.
I do hope such people would not wriggle into heaven by stealth or deception as they manage to here!

@Shiva49 Perhaps, they will need to go through the reform school, on the outskirts of Heaven first.

Heaven is here on earth. Your home could be a heaven if there's love.

Yes, it can be Heaven on Earth, with enough love here, in our lives too. But, some added factors require great faith too. For us to have perfect health here also, would require such perfect faith too.
We cannot as yet live forever either, and that too is an added attraction, for us, once we get into Heaven.

@Nakitakona Yes, and when we have such faith, it then becomes much easier for us to love God too.

@innertalks God is love and you know that. Faith is the first principle which everyone should have to believe in God.
