Lady Bugs on Holly Bush

Was out walking around in the yard earlier. The rain is gone for now and the sun is shining. Noticed these two ladybugs on one of my holly bushes, on the side of the house. Nature always has something to offer. Glad we have no cicadas this year. Not yet anyway. They are too loud for me. I prefer these ladybugs. They are very quiet. Snapped this photo this morning.

we sadly are the last bits of Elsa today, but at least it is cooler! Lady bugs are the best friend a gardner could ask for!

Cicadas are breaking your eardrums when they start "singing" from their "soundbox".

That is why I am glad we don't have cicadas this year. Only ladybugs for now.

@CarolDM Cicadas are underground bugs. The ground now is softened by rains. They're starting to come out. Now we are hearing them especially late in the afternoon.
