Yesterday....

We had a very heavy downpour yesterday afternoon that left everything looking like an all day affair of rain. We heard some thunder in the distance but we didn't have too much of that close by thank goodness. As good as my phone call went to Social Security, my husband had to make one to Sirius Radio who had a charge on our account. We don't have Sirius on either vehicle and haven't for several months. My van had it when I purchased it last year and we cancelled it after the free six months. In talking with Sirius to not extend mine, they offered him a trial offer on his truck. He accepted. This had to be cancelled before the trial ended which he did in April of this year. They cut if off and he hasn't had service since then. The representative that he spoke to then kept trying to get him to renew it. He told them no thanks. And now we are charged for the service again. He called and the representative told him there was no record of his conversation with anyone to cancel the service. He told her that he doesn't have any service and hasn't since he called and cancelled. He stated that he certainly wasn't paying for something he is not getting. She kept insisting that he did have service on his truck. He asked for a refund and she told him that she could not do that. We have flagged the transaction as fraud through our bank so it will be credited back to our account. Why do these people think it is okay to do things like this? This representative had to have canceled yet resubscribed him to the service. Needless to say my hubby was not a happy camper and very ticked off. Sirius Radio just lost a pontential customer for the future. We have activated it before for long road trips. Not anymore!! How is your day going? Do you have Sirius Radio? I know, when I saw that photo I knew that was the one I wanted to use relating to music!! So cute!! I enjoy the Elvis channel but it is a bit repetitive.

I had to do that with mom's checking account and credit card when she was put into the hospital for several months. She kept getting billed for stuff she didn't have and didn't want. You can't trust companies anymore.

We don't have Sirius Radio. Companies like that really get under my skin. I'm glad you had the charge removed from your card.

Our bank is very good about that. Dispute it online and then fill out the fraud report with details. Done deal!

that is the frustrating reality of services like that. Although, I do love SiriusXM in my car. They haven't done that particular thing to me yet.

I refuse to subscribe to any radio service. Radio has been free for as far back as I remember, and yet it's become the product of yet another scam. Give me digital meida anyday.

Nope... When I'm driving a long distance I make sure I have music on my phone and CDs in the car. (Before I resort to my phone or the CDs I let the radio search FM and AM stations to see what I can get first.)
