And again

Again they were going to shut down the electricity overnight. We went to bed early to get some cool sleeping in before the a/c was shut off. The energy company had not notified the citizens directly but had talked to the city offices, who let us know, on Facebook, and said to notify the neighbors. The energy company said they would like to reschedule again. City clerk said she would let us know if she heard anymore, and we did not hear any more from her. Evidently, though, the energy company chose not to shut us down last night, either. Last night was relatively cool night, as far as summer nights go. I wish they would just get on with it. We did not get shut down last night, either. I guess we are being held in suspense.

It has to be done at some point as they need to replace a transformer. I know we want it before really bad winter weather.

That is the worst thing ever to be held in suspense especially when it has to do with electricity

Yes, I really dislike not knowing. I wish they could get it over with.

So, do they plan to leave the populace completely without power, or just reduce the flow? Sure, you can light a candle to see in the dark, but that doesn't help any if you use a CPAP machine...

The power has to be completely cut for about six hours. People need to be notified in advance that this is going to happen so that people who need to run their medical devices can make arrangements. I have a flashlight in my dresser drawer. It is supposed to be an overnight process when it does happen.

I would like them to get it over with. Set a date and do it. Then people who really need to have power can go somewhere away from here where the power will be out.

Hope they do it soon. I would prefer it on a hot summer night instead of a cold one later

Would have preferred it in the spring, I think.
