Ohio State Trooper saves a driver who swallowed a bag of marijuana

This story is kind of bizarre since a male driver who was pulled over by Ohio State Highway Patrol Officer Charles Hoskin on a highway in the Columbus area for a traffic violation this week almost died when he swallowed a bag that contained marijuana. When Officer Hoskin went to speak with the male driver whose identity was not released, the driver of the auto confessed to the police officer that he could not breathe. Officer Haskin who has received first aid training used the Heimlich maneuver to force the bag of marijuana to pop out of the driver's mouth. The driver of the auto was able to breathe again. An ambulance came to check on the condition of the driver. However the condition of the driver is not known. The lesson that the police officer told the driver is never swallow a bag of drugs to avoid facing punishment from a police officer since dying over a minor crime is not worth it.
