Okay, so today my sister will get her pacemaker. They have started the preparations. Her daughter is there and I do not feel that we all need to be there. At home, I am always doing house chores. I also cooked up a massive amount of rice to eat in various meals. I hope to make a stir fry today. Online I am hoping to be able to redeem at one site for a $25 Lowe's gift card. That will put me over $600 and I hope to spend it soon. I am grateful to be connected with friends and family through the internet and am visiting with all of them. Have a great myLot day!!

On mypoints the best deal for your points right now is Lowe's. I get $25 for 3500 points. At swagbucks I get $25 for 2200 points, so this has added up.

I hope the pacemaker behaves itself. Apparently, a neighbor's pacemaker shocked him last summer. I don't know the details, but he is now in a "rest home" unable to move. Just what I've been told by other neighbors.

My husband has a pacemaker/defibrillator. If he goes into afib it is supposed to shock his heart back into rhythm. I wonder if your neighbor had some kind of stroke or afib and is suffering from it. I am not sure if my sister got the defibrillator component or not. She said they told her she has an arrhythmia. Not afib.

Thank you Valerie. She seems to have done fine. Her two daughters are both nurses so they were there to make sure everything went well.

I pray your sister's operation is a success and she has a full recovery. I need to do some ironing when I am done here and I will make rice to go with some salmon for our dinner. I am thinking we will have some squash with it too. Have a blessed day.

That's good news about your sister. Do you eat rice often? Is it white rice?

I would like to eat rice more often but hubby is not a big fan. Today I cooked brown rice. I froze some for meals just for me. I did not make the stir fry today but did make rice pudding which we ate as dessert.
