Voter registration shenanigans

I just received a letter in the mail from the county clerk. It said that my voter status is currently "inactive" and that I would no longer receive mail-in ballots unless I filled out the enclosed form.
What? I just voted in the November election by mail. It isn't like I haven't voted in a decade or something. I don't know what kind of crap this Republican county is trying to pull. Inactive my butt.

Scammers don’t just work online. Don’t blame every bad thing that happens on the GOP.

I don't blame every bad thing on the GOP. I just find the whole thing strange and the county I live in is very red despite the fact that NJ is a blue state. Why would I be deemed "inactive" when I've voted in every November election for years and years?

@xander6464 — the Emancipation Proclamation (Lincoln).
And don’t hold the entire party guilty. I don’t fault every Democrat for Ted Kennedy or Anthony Weiner.

@xander6464 — objection overruled. Those things ALWAYS matter elsewhere. Ask Harvey Weinstein.

I would call them before filling anything out in case it is a scam.

They just want your personal information, it's probably a scam.

Something else you'll have to take care of. Good luck.
