Ripe Wild Berries in Ireland The Fruits from Briar Plants That are Full of Thorns

We harvested these wild berries and these are fruits of the briar plants that grows anywhere in Ireland. You can have this in your backyard for sure.

@asianlady Oh yes.. they are yummy!.. when my berries are fruiting, I keep an eye on them and pick them before the birds get to them..

@epiffanie That's true, a big flock of birds here too, harvesting the berries in our backyard. And they are very happy when they are eating. They are noisy, tweeting.

Brambles. You must get them a bit earlier than we do in our part of Scotland We pick them.every year. We make Bramble Jelly with them. Great on toast with real butter. I've pricked many a finger picking them.

@asianlady The taste really.good just eating them as they are. In the shops they can be expensive. Brambles. English people call them Blackberries

Yes, they are very sweet like blueberries. But the briar plants is not friendly. The thorns can stab your finger while harvesting. The birds love these because it's a free food for them.
