Little things make me happy.

I always save up my glass jars to re-use. Some of them have decorative lids with pictures of fruit. My partner - who never sees the point of anything decorative - just uses any jar that comes to hand, but I find it irritating if I am forced, due to lack of an alternative, to put marmalade into a jar with strawberries on the lid, for example. So this week I am quite pleased with myself as I made two batches of jam from our garden harvest, and I’ve managed to use several strawberry jars for strawberry jam and the blackcurrant jars actually have blackcurrant jam in them! Little things cheer up my day. And they don’t even cost anything : ) All rights reserved. © Text and image copyright Fleur 2021.

Last week I made peaches jam from peaches that a neighbor gave me. Yesterday I made a blackberry jam. I also keep the jars, I sterilize them, I buy from Aldi very inexpensive labels and I cut a piece of fabric to complete.

Thank you, I like a bit of jam with natural yogurt, like a home-made version of those expensive 'fruit corner' yogurts you can buy.

I always save the jars in case I would need to use them again. So there are quite a few in the cupboard. I would even use one as candle holder Not pretty, but it works for me.

But for your hand labelling, your jam packs would have looked factory packed. That is certainly satisfying.
