WHY ARE FEMALE BOSS VERY STRICT?

July 19, 2021 12:09am CST
I know this is a thought provoking question. I once work in an organization were I had a boss who is a lady. I think she should be in her late thirties or thereabout (I wouldn't know??). From my own point of view, she is very hard-working, intelligent and most of all very strict. She act very bossy whenever she is around and I keep wondering why. I thought I was the only one that notice her altitude/beheviour but my colleagues at work also noticed the same thing too. The most annoying thing here is that whenever she is around, she carries herself so high that sometimes she makes mistakes by insulting people at any slict provocation. So I want to throw the question to you guys here, why do female boss very strict and why are they too bossy? Have you ever by chance had any experience(s) before? My honest thoughts though ??!!!

I have never worked with a female boss so don't know if they are more strict than a male boss. No doubt females are more hardworking and sincere than the males at work.

Sounds like you are describing my mother, boss at home. Jokes aside, I'm sure not all female bosses are like this, so I doubt gender has something to do with it. Of course there are biological differences that can affect the attitude, but both genders come with pros and cons. For instance, men tend to take more risks than women, so most entrepreneurs are male.

Have you ever heard the expression "opened a can of worms"? You may learn what it means here lol. It might be best to use just your boss as an example and not all women bosses. I'm certain that calling all women bosses bossy or strict will draw the angst of more than a few people. Good luck with this one.

It's just my honest thoughts though. I know there are good and examplary women with great attitudes. I don't mean all women but like I said earlier...it's just my honest thoughts. SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE WOMEN BOSSES, YOU ARE ARE INDEED A ROLE MODEL.

@Lindcurtins Nice save. I have had several women supervisors and I would say that more men are bossy and abusive in leadership positions. But that's just my experience.

I know you said that this is a guy question but I and here too speak from a woman point of view. I am a woman and I believe that some women have had to play man and woman r o l e s because they have had too single mom in the home so to me this may be one reason that some women come across as strict and No Nonsense to some men I am this type woman many people do not like that I have this approach but if I did not they would be a bunch lazy people so I stand my ground and get the job done.

Quite a controversial topic for discussion. I haven't really noticed an overall major difference between male and female bosses or co workers.

Maybe cause she has high expectations of her employees... Also asking why the boss is bossy i.e. telling you what to do and how to do it lol

I think such boss might be thinking that.. people have a common belief that women are kind hearted and cannot handle a business or something like that and if they don't stay strict ...noone will take her seriously, noone will follow her orders properly or respect her. She might be thinking she have to make her strong impression so as to increase her power and to make employees work. Probably some might be thinking....not all females think the same..
