Have you ever heard about The Arushi-Hemraj murder case. This case was so much popular back then when it happened in Noida (Uttar Pradesh, India).
On 15th may 2008, The mother found the dead body of her 15 years old daughter Arushi laying on bed. The parents and police accused the househelp for committing the crime but 3 days later they found the dead body of Hemraj(househelp), till date many people suspected, Arushi's own parents went jail; at last the case was handed over to the CBI but sadly 14 years gone but they couldn't find the guilty.
Later on a movie was made based on this incident and numerous of documentaries.
This case made the saying famous that "A CRIME IS NEVER PERFECT BUT THE INVESTIGATION IS IMPERFECT"

you should read it
the case was so famous that time but it was committed so perfectly that till date no prime suspect found some say the case couldn't be solved due to corrupted officials some say the parents were involved and since they were both doctors and had good connections hence it couldn't be solved

@ThatDisha
There's quite a few unsolved crimes in the US and it's always interested me. Many times, corrupt officials or family members were suspected but never charged.
The case you bring up sounds similar. I will read more. Thanks for the tip.

This case caught attention of people and media highlights for years. Sadly, it's still a mystery. We can not deny the involvement of parents. The crime scene was compromised and it did effect the investigation.

@ThatDisha It was quite evident that parents killed her. And it was much more than honour killing. Many suspect that she knew of wrong doings of her father as a doctor.

It's not a movie it's a real incident based on which many movies and documentaries have been made which i do not intend to watch as i believe they portrait things very different from what actually happened and left a mark on the viewers mind that the one who have been portrayed here as killer might be the killer in real too
