It's soup day

We received meat from lots of people today. It's apart of today's sacrifice celebration where people would share the meat that they sacrifice. It's not a lot but if lots of people give it, it will be a lot in the end. If you get what I am saying. Anyway, since we got bones as well, I decided to make soup. My aunt gave us rice as well so I don't need to cook rice or noodles to eat with the soup. I still have some left for other kind of dish.

Enjoy the soup and have a great evening. So you are off from work for today only or tomorrow too.

I think so but we'll see. The customers keep pushing for the company to start operating despite still being in lockdown. I might return to the office soon.

awesome! yes, if a lot of people will give even in small parts, at the end when you put them together, there will be more than enough

Yes, it's really good. Must be because the meat was fresh.

@prinzcy nothing beats like using fresh meats. Meats stored in the freezer for a long time does not taste good.

We don't have to but we can if we want to. Since they gave me meat, I would give another food in return.

We had ketupat and rendang yesterday. Still had some today. Mom wanted to buy lemang but I told her not to. There are only three of us. No need for lots of food.

Wow.. You would enjoy your soup and we have to enjoy just reading your post. This is unfair. So which meat is that? Lamb, sheep, goat or beef?

Mostly beef. Some would sacrifice goat as well but it's really rare.

Not to this soup. I would just use meat. The vegetable would add later when serving in small portion. Usually it's tomatoes and scallion as garnish.

That's so nice. It reminds me of neighbors we had many years ago, they were Muslim and would give us meat every year. I think it was lamb what they gave us. Not sure how they got it, but it tasted delicious, I'd say better than the meat you buy at the store.
