UK has been scorching the past couple of days so my friends and i decided to make an all time favourite from the Philippines. We made "halo halo" which means mix mix! It is a cold dessert with a mixture of everything. We tossed in a couple of fruits, ice cream, and milk, some shaved ice too. We were so happy to have a taste of home.

Yes although it's hard as some ingredients are really hard to find and we had to improvise.

I thought halo meant hello? Make your mind up! Anything cool or cold is very welcome atm, the heat in the UK is just too much for this pasty faced white boy. Roll on winter.

Hahaha. Well it can be translated either way. But it's mix mix in Philippines. I am dying and melting as well. And UK homes don't really come with air condition.

@flapiz I don’t have aircon either so melting too. It’s probably not as hot where I am but still mid to high 20’s this week. I also like chocolate chocolate and cake cake, if doubling up emphasises the niceness of it.

@Orson_Kart A little birdie told me it's going to be less hot next week. I pray it's not fake news. You better make friends with your oven so it gives you all the chocolate2x and cake2x

Halo-halo is pretty much our ais kacang or air batu campur here. That's a good idea though. It's pretty hot here too.
