Fish Hilsa is the state fish of State of West Bengal in India. As river Ganges meets Bay of Bengal in Diamond Harbour and Punyalakshmi Resort is situated there, travellers spend time to view the beautiful nature. Hilsa fish are offered as curry in lunch and dinner in the resort and the fishes have great taste.

A few weeks back, we ordered some hilsa fish from Licious. It was delicious but quite costly around Rs1200 for a kg. We mostly get Rohu and Catla.

have never liked seafood at all. But I am happy that its culture continues to offer its gastronomy that spreads throughout the world. What I like the most about your food are curries. Delicious.

Hilsa my all time favourite fish especially the one prepared according to Bengali cuisine called 'Bhapa Elish'
Sadly it's not available in Hyderabad:(
