There is Tomato which is also known as fruit but we use that in dishes and in salad and in different chutneys and then there is Jack fruit too which can be used in cooking and is also a fruit. What are the other fruits that can use in cooking or cook to prepare some snacks like I previously came to know that bananas can be used to cook too but personally I have never tried this experiment but will be excited to try it someday soon Is There a fruit other than Jack fruit that you can use in cooking?

Green mangoes can be used in cooking. Jack fruit is good especially if cooked in coconut oil with lots of ginger.

Tomatoes are technically fruits and not veggies.I have eaten ripe guava curry that my grandmother made and it was yummy. We have few preparations of curry and dal using raw mangoes.

@Butterfingers Yes, we do when the raw mangoes are in season. And we totally forgot about raw bananas making curries, chips, and kofta. Also, we do use so many fruits in baking, if you consider that too as a part of cooking.

@Butterfingers Are you just talking about cooking or baking too? I am not familiar with Jack fruit. I was thinking if baking is included too then oranges can be used to make a cake.

Yes, this is the fruit. Kluwih (Artocarpus camansi) is the name of a type of perennial tree whose fruit has hard and thorny skin. Kluwih fruit is similar to breadfruit but this fruit has seeds and the thorny skin is more prominent.

Hmm, many of the fruits like apple, pineapple, dates, raisins, mango are used in cooking to make pickles or chutney. And another fruit commonly used to make gravies is coconut.
