Ups and downs

I feel like I've been on a roller coaster with everything that's going on. We've been dealing with affairs and such after George's mom's passing a couple months ago. While my sister-in-law has handled the bulk of it, we had a fair bit to do, too. It hasn't been fun, but we've been able to make a huge payment on our house. Do a few other things and elemiate bills. I'm loving that aspect. It'll feel good when we make that final mortage payment.
But with everything good that happens, a few dad things. This morning the band on my watch broke, and the watch slipped off my wrist. Luckily it didn't become a cat toy.... but switching the band wasn't that fun. so yeah... I managed to do it though.
Looks we're getting a mostly rain-free day for a change.

Those watch pins can be trouble some times. I'm glad you were able to replace the band.
Let's hope that it stays dry.

As much as I love the rain, I completely agree with you. We need a rain free day every so often.

Once I was trying to put a watch pin in and I lost my grip on it and it shot across the room. Never did find it.

Condolences to you, George and families on the parting of your mother-in-law. This is such a sad time.
I'm happy for you about paying off your mortgage. And making it a goal to be out of debt. It's wonderful and freeing, isn't it?

Yeah, life us like that, I secretly think there is a spirit that doesnt want to see people happy. When good things happen for me, I know he is somewhere around to heap problems. Happy you paid a lot on your house note.

Dealing with a loved one's passing can be complicated. I'm glad some good is coming from it.
I'm sorry about your watch band. I'm glad you got it changed.
