Looking at the first day scores of the tournament, it’s a nail-biter. It’s appears (based on the back nine scores) that the hole that always gives me fits is bothering a few others as well. (There are four holes in a row, holes 11-14, that can easily cause problems on that course.) Wish I were there, but our finals will be there next month. Meanwhile, MUSIC! And this time around, QUEEN!!! Fear not, you don’t know this one, it’s an album cut, but it’s a great song so it’s on my list!
#5: Father to Son
This ain’t no Cat Stevens folk tune!
You won’t find any Harry Chapin wisps, either.
While it’s far more rocking than either folkie (Stevens’ “Father and Son” and Chapin’s “Cat’s in the Cradle”), the sentiment is similar. The wise try to pass on knowledge to the younger in hopes they’ll accept it (“don’t destroy what you see”).
A great Queen album track. Not the last album track you’ll be treated to, either…..
