First Time Eating Strawberries

I live in the area where strawberries cannot be planted due to the weather. I always wanted to try it. Luckily, I was given the opportunity buy some foods in the market that sells product and goods from other countries. So I saw the strawberry without thinking twice I bought it . As I was going home I am so excited to taste the strawberry so I opened it and have a bite. Is it sour? because I kinda taste sour but still I love it .

Strawberries are often a little acid or sour and need some sugar to bring out the flavour. I think that it may be just that slight acidity which makes them pair so well with cream. Halve them and sprinkle with a little white sugar and leave them for half an hour or so, then top with a spoonful of fresh, whipped cream to enjoy them at their best.

I have eaten strawberries all my life - I realize I have totally taken this for granted. I hope you enjoy your first bite of strawberry! They should be sweet, but sometimes they can be sour (especially the whiter/lighter areas).

It might not have been fully ripe. I've had sour strawberries. They don't usually taste sour.

No, it isn't once it's ripe. It should be sweet and strawberries are very healthy because it's low in sugar than any other sweet fruits.

@Ding05 I usually eat strawberry when it's ripe and put it as toppings with plain yugort and no added sugar gelatin. It's a healthy dessert.

If the strawberries are not ripe enough, they will be too sour. I always add some brown sugar to them
