White lies are fine as long as they do not harm oneself and others. They are sometimes necessary to bring some cheer around. Parents tell those lies when they have to pacify their kids. Some tell them just to pacify themselves. For example my white lie would be that I am very popular here and everyone likes me including............never mind

Yes white lies are not bad. Just yesterday, one lady insists that I join a zoom meeting. I don't want to watch that honestly because I am not keen on it, told her I have a webinar. She sent me again the link today and ask me to join, she tracked me and noticed I was there, I.just joined for 5 minutes. Told her I can't follow through because there are a lot of incoming calls which is not true of course. Annoying sometimes.
