How I got a 3-year-old out of his pout the other day.

The other day at the preschool, my buddy Aiden was in a pout when he arrived. I'm not sure why. I like to have a runnning dialogue with each kid I work with. Aiden was coauthor of the song, Mine.
Little kid pouts usually last about three minutes, but Aiden was still pouting, staring at a wall, after about ten minutes. The other kids were also outside, running around and having a good time. I decided to take action.
I went up to him and said, "Are you in a pout right now" He said "Mmm," angrily.
I sang, "Mine mine mine/Do you like to share?"
He grumpily said, "Not me."
As soon as he "sang" his line to our song along with me, I knew I had him.
I went back to my "watching the kids" spot, and he was in my lap within 30 seconds, singing grumpily with me.
After about two minutes singing with me, his batteries were recharged, and he went and played with the other kids, happy as a clam.

The way you did is very different. The kids likes you too. It's such a blessing. Let us know more tricks or the way you handle kids in future too.

Did you find out what he was pouting about?

@BarBaraPrz I think he just had a "just got to school/work" pouty moment, as kids and grown-ups do. He just needed a "project" to work on.

That is cute, Sometimes kids can get down just like adults and not always really know why they feel that way, Glad you got him out of his slump.
