Moments come. Moments go. Yet if a moment comes up for someone after close to 50 years (a little lesser), then it is something that one does not wants to let go. But then, should someone allow a very high pressure to let good things slip out of hand. Perhaps, those are the questions confronting the Indian Men's Field Hockey Team as they face Great Britain in the Olympics Men's Hockey Quarter Finals starting shortly. Great Britain is no pushover but of late, Indian team has been playing superbly. It has beaten Argentina, New Zealand and Spain in the 1st round. In what the news article says, the nerves might matter more than actual skill which both teams have plenty of. India did won a Gold in Hockey in the depleted 1980s Moscow Olympics. Yet it was in 1972 Munich that Indian team had won a bronze in a full fledged strength Olympics. The medal hunt in this field eludes India. Today, it remains to be seen if History would favor the Men in Blue (Indian Hockey Team) or well.... well.. I won't even think in terms of the alternate scenario.. Bias - Yes !! News Link :
