People are not panicking like last year But i don't know if i should buy ots of stock. It's 2 week lockdown next week here. But then i think i should also be ready even when lockdown is over. I don't know how much cases would increase in the next two weeks lockdown and after that. It is not easy to buy lot of groceries

Better to purchase more than enough to last you two weeks rather than ran out of stock.

Have you bought your groceries also. Does it mean you would not buy anymore during lockdown. I don't know if they will be as strict asvlast years ecq. Maybe they will still allow more people to go to work or APOR

Well, it depends on the situation there. Here people have a time to buy their food daily. We don`t have to buy too much only enough for a week. Even if it is lockdown we don`t worry too much.

That's right, we can still go to LIDL anytime even if it's lockdown. I'm just happy that it's over now. No more lockdown.

You should stock it properly because in lockdown it becomes difficult to go out much and stocks might get finished. That's my opinion

You should stock on meat, fish, eggs, veggies. wrap leafy veggies like lettuce in paper and put in ref. It's not good to.stock up on canned goods anyway your barangay and LGU will give ayuda. Right now we haven't touched those canned goods given to us. Sardines, beef loaf, corned beef. But the rice we cook it, plus canned goods not healthy. You can marinate the meat with aoy sauce or calamansi and put in the freezer. You can also cook adobo and put and divide in zip locks and put in freezer. Anytime you use it you can just put in microwave or heat them in a pan, make sure mainit na mainit.

Yes because canned goods isn't healthy, i avoid opening them. Does marinating with soy sauce extend the freshness of meat. Do i freeze it or just put in chiller when marinated. I plan to buy fish and soak it in vinegar with garlic. Cut in small portion.

@hotsummer fine to put in chiller. Your meat wash them properly and drain them properly before putting in the freezer. Put in individual pack what you consume in one cooking so you don't thaw those you will not use. Yes fish soaked in vinegar and garlic lasts long too put in covered container and refrigerate. Cook paksiw let it cool, put in freezer.

I remember people flooding the supermarkets panic buying before our first lockdown last year. But this time most people have learned that supermarkets still remain open throughout the lockdown so when we has a second and third one, they don't do that anymore.

Yes i think people do not do panic buying anymore. I was not able to stock up on the first ecq. But now, this time i think I'll need to be more prepared though. Though the supermarkets would always be open. What about the malls are they closing the stalls inside the malls and only open the groceries.

@hotsummer All restaurants are closed for dine-in, but food delivery and pick-ups are allowed. Actually people have pushed for shops like computer stores and book stores to be open too because of the online learning and people working from home, so those businesses have recently opened again.

We have shortages here because no one wants to work so things have been out-of-stock. I am going to stock up on a few things as I find them.

@hotsummer Thank you. There are so many jobs available but some are demanding higher pay or they won't work. That doesn't make sense at all.

It would not hurt if you could get a little extra food in your home. Something else might come up to where you might need it.
