Has the olympics added friendship with nations?

August 7, 2021 2:50am CST
I love to see the Olympics in Tokyo in TV Channels. Although my country India won 2 silvers and 3 bronzes, I loved the sportsman spirit of players and came to know about many countries like Estonia, Fiji, who kept their mark in different sports. Do you think olympic games can add friendship and reduce barrier between nations?

I don't think at all. Every person attending Olympics have only one aim to grab a medal. No body there is interested to make friendships, then how come the nations would gain friendship. I could improve the way the contestants play the next game.

Dear V, thanks for the reply. Actually with the games, many countries came to compete with other. The world is so divided with hatred, that games can reduce the gap. Even poor countries like Uganda, Kenya won gold in long distance run, that shows that good sportsmen and sportswomen are there in every part of the world whether rich or poor.

@S4mmyboy Thanks Sam, Disha and others, it was really fun. The organizers in Japan also require credit. At least they ensured protection for the athletes and did not allow corona to spread. India won the highest number of medals in their history.
