An Atlanta police officer named S. Thomas is being praised by his superiors in the police department for her act of kindness by giving away a pair of shoes to a homeless man that was walking in the streets near a supermarket parking lot on Thursday afternoon. When the police officer saw the homeless man walking barefoot in the parking lot of the supermarket, she felt pity for the man and decided to buy him a pair of shoes by going inside the supermarket and buying him a pair of shoes for him to wear. Since the homeless man was not in the parking lot area after the police officer did purchase the shoes, she placed the shoes inside of the trunk of her squad car hoping to meet the homeless man once again. Later on in the same day, she found the same homeless man outside of a Kroger grocery store where he was told that he was not allowed to enter Kroger barefoot. Officer Thomas then went to her squad car to get the shoes she bought earlier and gave them to the homeless man who thanked her for her act of kindness. What makes this story even sweeter is that a bystander recorded the act of kindness by the police officer who gave away the shoes to the homeless man since the officer wants to keep her good deeds quietly.

I think showing kindness is good but avoiding praises while doing it is an additional blessing

It is God's law that He will bless anyone who does good deeds quietly.

@Deepizzaguy Yes indeed the person doing a noble act is bound to be rewarded - sooner or later!

Such an officer must be rewarded. But I have a word of caution: even police folks must be careful lest it becomes a way of getting free shoes by gangs controlling Professional Beggars. I mean goodness and kindness are fine but there are so many folks in the world out to misuse generosity of others. Great share !
