I give up

I had talked about the garlic vine that devoured our guava tree and that prompted us to uproot the vine and plant some cuttings at a place where it would not do such a thing again This monsoon the vine has come up and covered yet another tree and has started giving out flowers. We have attempted several times to trim the vine down whenever it showed up but it just stuck to its decision to stay put and now it has covered the noni tree. Fortunately we have several noni trees in the garden and we can risk losing this one. The flowers are beautiful

I agree. Beautiful indeed. Let the vine be.

It might not kill the Noni tree. Wait for the garlic vine flower to wither and decide to transplant it. Just suggesting.

We have already planted a few cuttings elsewhere but this vine just keeps coming up. It killed our guava tree.

I have never heard of a garlic vine. We get a trumpet vine that will eat the entire yard and garden.

I have that trumpet vine that does the same but it is in another part of our garden. I have a video link posted here. You can have a look at it if you want to know what this vine is all about
A pleasant surprise awaited me this morning when our curry leaf tree got engulfed by these wonderful flowers.

That's nature, it's up to us humans if we allow it to take it's course or to intervene.

You have a point there but it killed our yielding guava tree and now it has fully covered the noni tree. But I have noni trees elsewhere and so I may leave it there.

Those are beautiful flowers. And if they choose to stay, you have to let them stay

They are invaders and I am afraid they might devour our curry leaf trees which are next in line

@allknowing You have to keep a close watch on them. Maybe trimming them from time to time will save the other trees around. But that would be a tedious task especially if they grow fast.

That is different from this vine. This is a creeper while the garlic you are referring to grows as tuber under ground.
