Have You Ever Seen a Shooting Star?

Apparently I was just reading that August is the month when you should head outside and let your eyes become accustomed to the dark for about a half hour and then to sit back and start watching for them. And then if you see one, you should make a wish. I forgot last night but the night before I sat outside hoping that the clouds would clear but no such luck. But tonight I think that I will give it another try. Have no idea what I will wish for, but it would be fun to do it. What do you think that you would wish for?? And yes, I have see them in the past. I remember a night when mom and dad took us out onto an old country road and we were lucky enough to spot two. Can't remember what I wished for... so I have no idea if it came true or not. This time I think I will decide what I would like to see happen and then write it down.

I've never seen one that I can recall. It's rare I see any stars at all.

I've seen meteors; but I don't know that I've seen a shooting star.

I remember seeing a shooting star one really cold January night back in 1991. I was pregnant with our second child, and the star was in the sky for a while, that I had time to think of a good wish. I wished for a healthy baby. But it wasn't to be, she stopped growing 5 weeks already before that wish, and was born a month later with the congenital heart disease that is in our family. But, for a really brief time in our lives we had a little angel in our lives.
